I was seriously considering another compact EDC light until I saw this. The two lights have almost identical range of lighting modes, size and ruggedness. Advantages that sold me on the Flextail are the ability to swap batteries and charge them separately, the SOS mode and the EDC casing. It is great for backwoods and as a component of self-defense in urban settings. As a bonus, one spare battery gives me backup power for my flashlight AND my Flextail Zero Pump!

Good little light for either hijing/bikepacking when you're limited in space/weight or just an emergency flashlight for camping or any other time you find yourself out after dark.
Will it ward off vampires, werewolves or other assorted evil spirits? No, probably not. But it does feature a range of output options and a good light beam spread.
Would I recommend it? For the price, yes.
Are there other, similar products out there? Most likely.
However, I've purchased a few Flextail products to date and, so far, found them to be well-made, sturdy and reliable.
If you're torn between this and another, similar product, give this one a whirl.
Love it guys small powerful sachem charged lasts a good while. I’ve got a load of Flextail gear as I go camping and wilderness trekking and would not be with out it. This little light can fit in any pocket, clip it to a belt and is quite versatile. Cheap as chips to.
This is going to be great on my wild camping trips.
